Dr. Zhenyu Chen is currently a postdoctoral research fellow in MAE, HKUST. Before joining HKUST, he received his first degree from China University of Petroleum (East China), an M.Sc. Degree (distinction) and Ph.D. from City University of Hong Kong in 2016, 2017 and 2021, respectively. He worked as Research Associate in City University of Hong Kong Shenzhen Research Institute from Sep. 2017 to Aug. 2018. His research interest includes topological phononic crystal and acoustic/elastic metamaterials, seismic metamaterials, structural dynamics and nonlinear vibration.
